Ingredients (1 cup = 250 ml)
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • ¼ tsp soda
  • ½ tsp cardamom powder (elaichi)
  • ½ tsp nutmeg powder (jayphaal)
  • 1 cup wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp chopped almonds + 3-4 almonds, sliced
  • ghee to grease
for atta nankhatai recipe:
  1. take a mixing bowl and add powdered sugar and ghee to it.
  2. beat for 2-3 minutes till it becomes light and fluffy.
  3. next add cardamom powder, nutmeg powder and wheat flour.
  4. mix well.
  5. then add chopped almonds.
  6. mix and prepared dough.
for nankhatai in kadai:
  1. grease the plate using ghee.
  2. make small round nankhatai balls and gently place sliced almond on top.
  3. meanwhile heat 2 cups of salt in kadhai or idli maker.
  4. cover and let it heat properly on low flame.
  5. check whether you feel heat in hand.
  6. place the nankhatai plate.
  7. cover and let it bake on a low flame for 30-35 minutes
  8. bake till they turn golden brown.
nankhatai in an oven:
  1. similarly grease the oven plate.
  2. make small nankhatai balls and gently press sliced almond on the top.
  3. bake at 160 degrees for 15 minutes or till they turn golden brown.
  4. remove from the oven.
  5. nankhatai without oven and with oven looks and tastes exactly the same.
  6. healthy whole wheat nanakhatai.
Helpful Tips
- add 2 -3 tsp of milk along with almonds if you want crispy nankhatai else it would be melt in mouth nankhatai.

- add sugar powder according to your taste.
