Ingredients (1 cup = 250 ml)
  • ½ cup nylon sabudana
  • 2 tbsp whole rajigra/amarnath (optional)
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp peanuts
  • 1 tbsp cashew nuts
  • 1 tbsp almonds
  • 2 green chillies, finely chopped rings
  • 10-12 curry leaves
  • 1 tbsp dry coconut, sliced
  • 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
  • ½ tsp poppy seeds/khas khas
  • 1 tsp fennle seeds / variyali/snauf
  • 1 tbsp raisins/kismiss
  • upwas namak to taste
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  1. first of all take sabudana pearls in a microwave safe bowl.
  2. microwave on high for 2 minutes. and mix well.
  3. further put again in microwave for 1 minute. sabudana should be crunchy, if its not done you can keep it in microwave for another minute. keep checking in between.
  4. then take whole rajigra and spread a teaspoon in a hot pan.
  5. cover and cook till they are popped up.
  6. now take a pan and add oil in it.
  7. next add peanuts and fry them.
  8. then add cashew nuts, almonds, green chillies, curry leaves and sliced coconut.
  9. saute till they turn golden brown.
  10. further add white sesame seeds, poppy seeds, fennel seeds and raisins.
  11. saute them for few seconds.
  12. now add popped rajigra and sabuda to it. mix well.
  13. finally, add salt and sugar.
  14. mix and roast for a minute.
  15. you can store in an air tight container fora week to 10 days.
Helpful Tips
- you can deep fry sabudana pearls if you are not health conscious.

- plus you can also add deep fried potato sticks to make the chivda more tasty.
