Ingredients (1 cup = 250 ml)
for dry mix:
  • ½ cup all purpose flour (maida)
  • ¼ cup cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ⅛ tsp baking soda
for wet mix:
  • ¼ cup odour less oil / melted butter
  • ½ cup icing sugar
  • ½ cup milk
  • ½ tsp vinegar
  • 6 pieces dark chocolate
Instructions
for choco lava cake recipe:
  1. in a small bowl mix all the dry ingredients, all purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
  2. sieve the dry mixture 2-3 times.
  3. keep aside till needed.
  4. now in an another bowl, add oil and icing sugar
  5. beat sugar and oil till it turns soft and fluffy.
  6. then add milk and vinegar.
  7. beat the mixture well for around 2-3 minutes.
  8. now add all the dry ingredients to the wet mixture.
  9. mix well to get a smooth, lump free batter.
  10. grease the muffin moulds with oil
  11. then dust it using cocoa powder.
  12. next add fill the muffin mould to ¾ with the batter.
  13. place in 2 dark chocolate pieces per mould.
  14. using a spoon, slightly press the chocolate piece in the centre of the mould.
  15. bake in a pre-heated oven at 200 degrees for 8-10 minutes or till its top turns brown.
  16. you can check it by piercing tooth pick or knife in a cake. it should not be sticky.
  17. slightly lose the sides of the cake with the knife and flip over.
  18. serve hot choco lava cake immediately.
Helpful Tips
- shift all the dry ingredient 2-3 times so no lumps will be formed.

- baking in an oven depends on different oven, so time can vary, you need to check by piercing the knife or toothpick in the cake.

- same goes with the pressure cooker as well, baking time depends on the pressure cooker and you need to check after 8 minutes by piercing the knife to tooth pick.

- for microwave cooking, my microwave is 800 watts so it takes 2 minutes for me to bake a chocolate lava cake, time may vary depending upon the microwave.

- finally, serve choco lava cake, with vanilla ice-cream and chocolate drizzle to make a perfect choco blast Sunday.

!for cooking in pressure cooker:
put in a ring or a small vessel in a cooker.
then put a plate over it.
now close the pressure cooker and pre-heat on a medium flame for 15 minutes.
then put the cake mould over a plate.
remove whistle and ring and pressure cook on a low flame for 8-15 minutes. depending on the pressure cooker and the flame. try to put the flame not too high and not too low. You can check it by piercing a knife or a tooth pick.
with the help of knife, lose the edges of the cake, flip over and serve hot immediately.
! for microwave recipe:
put the moulds in a microwave.
cook on high for around 2 minutes.
slightly lose the sides of the cake from the mould, flip the mould on a plate and serve hot immediately.
